A Hobby of Patience

August 2nd  •  Posted in Lifestyle

Last week we stayed at my boyfriend’s sister place and she had this beautiful 1500 pieces pasta puzzle to be finished and hung in her kitchen; I never thought I could be a puzzle fan, but I loved making it (and I’m also pretty good at it, ha!), it was pretty relaxing and never ever enervating in the slightest, it allowed us to just have super long chats all together and stay far away from our techs for a few days and, even though I love the internet so much, it was very nice to temporarily switch off.

I should have known puzzles were my kind of hobby being that I’m pretty patient, quiet and creative and love to build stuff and see the final result. It took us three days to finish it completely and the final result was breathtaking, such a beautiful and well made puzzle I would love to hang in my own kitchen as well, when I’ll have one by my own. The boyfriend loved making it too, so I just can already see us making so many puzzles together in the future!

Do you like puzzles?

How did you hang it?! Amazing, I love puzzles but they take me so long because I get bored haha

    • We used a frame like this one that fits the jigsaw sizes and build it on the back of the frame, then build the frame on the puzzle when it was finished – then obvs hung it 🙂

  • What a beautiful design!!! I’m a puzzle fan too! We used to make lots of puzzles with my mother from an early age! The biggest we’ve made was 2000 pieces! 😀

    • My next goal is a 2000 pieces jigsaw for sure! x

  • Wow, I haven’t done a jigsaw for years. Think I’ll try it again one day soon. Like you said, it sounds nice to get away from technology once in a while 🙂

    • It’s really really nice x

  • I used to do puzzles with my gran a lot when I was a kid but I haven’t completed one as an adult. I need to change that.

    • It’s actually a pretty fun hobby! x

  • That is a beautiful jigsaw! It’s going to look stunning when it’s hung up. 🙂 xx

    • It looks beautiful in her kitchen! x

  • I puzzle mi sono sempre piaciuti… e mi piace anche il “report ” fotografico che hai fatto ^_^

  • I love jigsaws! I haven’t completed one in years though. Hmm, you’ve just given me the urge to pop out and buy one 🙂

    • They’re so fun to make! x

I absolutely love puzzles, my little cousin likes to do them and they’re surprisingly satisfying (it’s also weirdly satisfying to completely dismantle them to put them back into the box…)

    • It wasn’t that difficult yet challenging which was nice x

  • Congrats on finishing the puzzle! It must have taken such a long time, and the long speghetti on the right must have taken forever! I admire your peserverance, I know I’ve given up many times before 😉

    • It took us three/four days to finish it all (not bad) and the long spaghetti was the easiest part actually, the hardest must be all the tiny pasta all around! x

  • puzzles are always so much fun! I play the online ones on New Yorker a few times when I have no work or don’t feel like working at office! 🙂 This must have been a lot of fun I am sure! 🙂
