After a feet-wrecking busy day up and about in Milan on Saturday (pictures of that day are on their way and will be on the blog soon!), we slept in super late Sunday morning, woke up and ate fresh croissants for breakfast, then kind of wanted to skip lunch (but we didn’t), just for finding ourselves itching for something easy and light to do on a grey not that much spring-like slow Sunday afternoon. Nursery visits to us are becoming kind of a weekend ritual – it must have something to do with the huge amount of greenery involved…
Is there anything more spring themed than nursery visits anyway? Not that I ever discriminate a trip in wintertime – there’s a beautiful local shop here that not only has the most amazing selection of plants and flowers and cute vases, but also the most beautiful installation of Christmas decoration during Holiday season! – but there’s something very interesting and refreshing about setting everything aside and immerging ourselves between a thousand different plants on a weekend.
While we are usually pretty loyal to our favourite nursery (just look at it and tell me the view isn’t wonderful!), since we weren’t around that area, we decided to head to something a bit different this time! It ended up to be a visit to a very old-fashion nursery with the biggest amount of indoor plants I ever seen, typical nursery glass walls and roofs and a few tools and objects I think I haven’t seen since the nineties! While I think that place could flourish with a bit of cares, I was so fascinated by the time travelling experience we got to have!
So what’s your favourite way to spend a slow Sunday afternoon after a busy wearisome week? x
P. S. :: It’s all the weekend that I’m obsessed with Steller Stories so I’ve decided to put together an account over there too – so if you’d like to follow me there, you can find me at this link! I’ve already created a story that goes hand in hand with this post, if you’d like to take a peek! I’m just super excited I’ll be able to share what I’ve always thought it was not that noteworthy to write a whole blog post over here… also I need someone to follow, so if you are on there too, be sure to let me know!
