These latest summer days have been filled with work, the taste of freshly filtered coffee, hand-picked raspberries and plums, and a good old dose of ice cream. Here are a few things that’ve made my June a very good month!
You know those impromptu shopping trips when you almost magically find things that have been on your shopping list for ages all discounted at the same time? You just can’t say no. This was how I picked up the Garnier Ambre Solaire Bronzer Lotion this month. Being I very pale, but being the days of summer dresses and bare legs now around, this is the time of the year I usually consider to invest in a self-tanner. Even though I had quite a solid and firm tanning routine, I was attracted by the promises of a natural looking gradual self tanner, and this Garnier option really does what it says (even though I found it a little tricky to apply without streaks in the very beginning!). It’s a lovely one to build a very natural looking golden tan that you can modulate and keep building until you reach the wanted result.
I’ve always been a fan of Le Petit Marseillais shower products since I can remember, and it’s usually in summertime that I fall back in love with a few of them. This year I’m all about lavender (if you haven’t noticed yet!) and when I spotted their Miel de Lavande shower cream, I couldn’t help but pick it up. It smells like a honey and lavender elixir and totally reminds of le-sud-de-la-France. Dreamy! And it promise to hydrate and leave your skin super soft, which is always a bonus.
Every coffee lover likes to experiment with their coffee, yet I wasn’t looking for a new brew when I decided to pick up this organic medium roast 100% Arabica coffee by IKEA. I wasn’t expecting anything extremely lovely, but I’m actually finding myself impatiently waiting for breakfast time just to filter and drink it while still hot. I’m not sure how long it’ll last as the weather is being a little too warm for hot coffee lately, but I’m sure it will be even more delicious with ice in it!
At the beginning of the month I went on the hunt for the perfect summer dress, which evolved into a quest for a Zara store that stocked the very last few pieces of the dreamiest dress in my size that had just been discontinued. And I found it! And I was extremely happy! Until I realized Romwe sells an almost identical dress for a quarter of the price… BUT. It’s the most perfect dress to me, so I can’t really complain. I love the shape and the flowy sleeves. Perfect for summer picnics!
Lastly on this month’s favourites list, I have to mention Spotify Premium. Yes, I’m a bit late with this one, but being one that doesn’t listen to music very often, it’s never been something that called my name before. Until I discovered their mood playlists (especially ones that involve dinner, food, coffee and picnics). Now I’m obsessed! And I’m on there everytime I cook dinner.
I’d love to know what’s on your favourites list this month! x
