Gloomy day
August 27th • Posted in Style

Whilst the first two weeks of our staying in Lignano were super hot and sunny, so much that all we were able to think of was the pleasure to immerse our bodies in the sea, the last week saw a couple of scary thunderstorms and gloomy days, which didn’t stop us, though, from visiting and exploring. Most of those days have been spent wandering through the cutest little shops and boutiques looking for souvenirs, eating our weight in ice cream (it didn’t actually only happen on those days!) and observing street artists during their fascinating working hours.
I can’t really complain about those gloomy days! Walking on wet sand is my favourite thing in the world, and even if a bit desolated maybe, the beach still looked lovely after the rain, especially when the sea waves calmed down a bit after the storm and the sky started turning pink and violet and then blue again. On one of those days, after a long walk under the clouds, it started raining as never before, and the only consolation was we were able to quickly find our way to the most delicious shelter of all: Mu Gelateria, the place we’ve visited the most after the beach during the whole holiday, is the cutest DIY gelateria of dreams, with its white and blue theme and all their delicious ice cream flavours. The MU Cream was my favourite one, a thick sweet cream with a delicate hint of lemon… mmm!
