In September I’ve loved…
October 1st • Posted in Favourites

Whoa! I’ve been so busy this past month that I haven’t really realized how fast it flew by! But as always, aside from green stink bugs, with my birthday coming around and the start of Autumn, September has been my favourite month so far. Here are a few favourite things that made it special!

Corset Bra – Forever21 ; Striped Jersey Top – H&M
With the start of the new season and my birthday being at the beginning of the month, I thought it’d be a good time to treat myself to some new style basics I’m completely obsessed with! I’ve spotted this striped H&M Jersey Top at the very beginning of the month and decided it was such a bargain to miss out on it, so I’ve grabbed it as soon as I could and, needless to say, I’ve lived in it since then. The fabric is so soft and flattering, and it looks pretty on literally everything.
Also, I’ve bought this beautiful Corset Bra from Forever21 just because it was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, not even realizing how much I’d have loved it! It’s the most comfortable, flattering bra I’ve ever own actually, and I somehow always feel more put together (and some sort of vintage-looking) when I wear it under my outfits.

Salted Coconut Hand Scrub ℅ Lush
This month I was invited over at Lush to try out some products coming directly from London Oxford Street. I was pretty excited about most of them actually, but from the moment I tried the Salted Coconut Hand Scrub I wasn’t able to stop smelling my hands! Just from the product description, I’d no doubts it smelled delicious, yet I was so surprised by how much I liked it: it contains virgin coconut oil, fine sea salt, argan oil and fresh lemon infuse. Just imagine. Imagine how good it smells! I’m actually using it to scrub my legs too, but the girl at Lush suggested to try it on the face. Probably what I’ll do next!

Milk Chocolate Topping – Tiger
During our last trip to Tiger I, as usual, was attracted by the food section and have spotted this ‘Palaegs Chokolade’ things, which I didn’t really know what they were, but it turned out to be super delicious and fun! They’re super thin chocolate bars, so thin that when placed on hot toast they melt down to an extremely yummy milk chocolate cream! Mmm!

Calligraphy + Skillshare
Now on to the best bit. I’ve discovered Skillshare months ago, but only recently I’ve made the switch to their premium membership and if I may say so myself, it has been one of the best discoveries of mine since years! Now, when I want to learn something new especially on the design from, I simply type it on Skillshare and follow a class. It’s jam-packed with amazing teachers that will guide you through their methods and help you learn new skills in such a fun way! Sometimes I can spend hours following new classes and I not even realizing time it’s flying by!
It was a while that I wanted to learn calligraphy. I even looked into taking part in some classes some time ago, but thanks to Skillshare I’ve finally dipped my toes into it. It’s my new favourite hobby, truly! I’ve followed Bryn Chernoff Modern Calligraphy Class, bought myself a small starter kit and started writing. It took time for me to get used to it, and at the very beginning I found it somewhat of frustrating, but after a month of practicing every single day, I’ve started understanding what I like and what I don’t like, as well as developing a personal lettering style. And now I’m obsessed!
P. s. 1 :: I’m by no means a calligraphy expert and have just started with one simple kit, but if you’re wondering about what I’m using, here you go: Parker Quink Ink, Manuscript Pen Holder, Nikko G Pointed Nib.
P. s. 2 :: A post with my favourite Skillshare classes is coming super soon!
