Shall we start a conversation about the weather or would it class this blog as a boring read?! But I love me a little weather-exalting chat, especially when spring sunny days are involved! Recently I’m being in a very good mood just because Spring is in full bloom and the weather is so lovely it can’t *not* put a smile on my face! Plus the feeling of wearing shoes without socks or tights and going out without a coat and only a thin blouse on for the first time in the year, is always priceless in my opinion!
This time April has come with a very typical weather of light rains in the middle of a nice sunny day, with the sun popping out for beautiful sunsets right after, turning the raindrops on the leaves into sparkles of light. I have invested in the cutest A-line raincoat as it just seemed inappropriate not to (you know!) and I wasn’t wrong as April showers have become a daily habit – it’s safe to say I’ve been wearing it non-stop this month!
Would love to know: what are you wearing lately?! x

Not long ago I’ve shared my favourite phone apps to boost creativity especially if you’re a creative or business owner of all sorts, and since some of you seemed to find it helpful, I thought I’d share my all time lifestyle favourite apps as well today! This will include anything from photography, maps and even the very best period app… so if you’re after some new gems to pop on your phone screen, make sure you check these out!
01. Wild Weather
I’m all about cute and beautifully designed apps, so if you’re wondering why the hell should anyone pay for a weather app, well, look how cute this is! I love the design and checking the weather is becoming a very pleasing habit thanks to this app: it simulates rain (which is the most relaxing thing to watch) and have even different illustrations for the same weather situation if you check different places! The cutest.
02. Love Cycles
If you’re a girl I bet you have spent hours of your life downloading and testing different period apps (and even purchasing more than one) just because you couldn’t really find the perfect one! This was me until the beginning of the year when I discovered Love Cycles: this app is super cute (again) with lovely illustrations (again) and the possibility to apply the nicest background patterns (and again), but it’s also super functional and informative with new notes and suggestions each day. It really ticks all the boxes, totally worth checking out!
03. Waze
I don’t really know about you but whether I’m in the car or on my own feet, I’m always lost. Or at least I feel lost. In a big city, I’ll admit I’ll always have my maps app telling me what to do and where to go – as well as a pre-written list of places to visit. Because I’m this boring. Waze is my favourite maps app so far, cute, simple and super practical!
04. Manual
I’m not very good with iPhone photography and I’ll admit I’m never happy (and never will) with my Instagram account aesthetic, but sometimes your phone is the only camera you have with you so I thought it was worth checking some manual photography apps. The Manual app is great, super simple to use and very intuitive and totally makes all the difference with taking photos with my phone, allowing me to adjust exposure, contrast and more!
05. Airmail
Mail apps: my boyfriend’s strongest obsession. He has tested many and many more and suggested I downloaded Airmail – you know, he’s the expert. I love the aesthetic as well as how fast it syncs and updates each time. With apps I’m all about intuitive minimal interfaces, and Airmail is perfect for keeping my many inboxes organized with different colors and icons!

Would love to know if any of these are your favourite apps as well, or what your all-time-faves are! x
Today’s a very special day for this blog, finally turning two years old!
I know in this kind of posts people go like “Whoa, where’s the time gone”, but although I do think this last year of blogging flew by, I guess in my mind it still feels like I’ve been updating this blog for a much longer time! I obviously have been all nostalgic and all and been browsing through all posts from this last year since a couple of hours now, and it’s making me realize how much I enjoy and have enjoyed blogging, and how precious this small space of internet can be, thanks to all the moments captured and framed somewhere tangible rather than only in our memories!
With this blog I’m being very happy about all the opportunities thrown at me, the lovely comments that allow me to get to know like-minded people, who so kindly read what I ramble about on here, a lot better, the tips and suggestions I get to share on here, whether it’s a product or a real life experience, and discovering my posts can actually help someone, but especially about the mind-blowing overwhelming support of readers and fellow bloggers!
So what’s next on Miel Café? I really hope I can keep posting as much as I do now and I can keep improving my photography and writing each day! I promise I’ll share more recipes and travel posts in the next months, but all in all, although I’m sure one can and should always try and get better at anything really, I’ve reached a happy balance with this blog recently and all I’d like to ask is that it keeps being this fun!
I want to say thank you, because I don’t very often. I’d like to reply to all your lovely comments and I would do it if my days had a couple more hours available to tick things off my to-do lists, but I thought a gift for you could sort it out! It does include pretty stationery… so am I pardoned? Actually, I’ve put together a little package of all my favourite little things to spoil one lucky reader!
So thank you for being this kind to me and sticking with me and Miel Café all this time! Hope you’ll stick around for next year’s adventures too!

The Green Balm – MOA Beauty I’ve been a cleansing balms lover for a very long time, but it was about a couple of years I haven’t bought any! I don’t remember how I found out about MOA – probably while I was stalking social medias as I remember me being all “oohh” and “aahh” when I…
I have written about what I like to keep on my bedside table and my bedtime rituals not long ago, but since then, and since I’ve been having some difficulties falling asleep at night lately, things have changed a tiny bit in my routine. I’ve added some new products that seem to work wonders at inducing sleep…
I can not express my love for Spring weekends at words! There’s nothing more lovely to finally have a sunny weekend day all for yourself after spending the whole week looking forward to it, and enjoying the hours of beautiful light outside doing things that involve nature, soil, fresh flowers, tidying, and all those things that…

Springtime is officially with us and there’s really nothing that could make me happier, if not enjoying Spring season allergy-free. I’m being quite lucky this year with my allergy being very light until now, but I know how traumatic allergy season can be. I’ve been living with pollen allergy for years, with runny nose and itchy…
I was mentioning in my latest post we’re experimenting with fruit puree and biscuits recipes, and actually all of them are inspired by this recipe I’m sharing today. OK so this includes words like ‘healthy’, ‘vegan’ and ‘oat’, but these biscuits are not as they sound at all: they taste nutty and flavourful, they are…
