Everytime I start something new, I can immediately tell if it’s something I’m going to be obsessed with. And this is exactly how it went when I started this “learning to knit” thing of mine!
I’m such a granny, I know, I know! But everything that calls for an endless number of cups of tea, layers of chunky blankets, cosying up and staying warm especially in this cold season, simply has my name written all over it.
You might have seen me featuring this chunky pink yarn in one of my Christmas Gift Guides; well, that was just an excuse to *finally* getting started somewhere, after the longest period spent stalking down all the knitting-themed Instagram profiles.
I actually remember being a fan of knitting and crochet since I was little, and admiring the women in my family for all the lovely works they made back then. When I shot these pictures I was still working on my very first hat, which has now been worn a couple of times already and that I love more than anything! I guess it’s the effect of holding your own finished product in your hands!
And I have now started a new hat already, which I’m even more excited about! But what I love the most, let’s face it, is curling up in the evening in front of a TV series, popping my PJs and chunky socks on and enjoying such a cosy hobby!
I’m not a pro or anything, as you can imagine, but it’s just the relaxing calming environment that makes it all so enjoyable to me. I’m loving Wool And The Gang a lot, for their video tutorials as well as their kits and patterns, but I’ve also just discovered Red Heart and I’m obsessed, so many amazing free patterns for all the skills and all the projects!
You can be sure I’ll soon have a new cosy blanket and, quite certainly, a couple of new mittens too!

I’m a bit late with this November favourites post this time, but I hope you enjoyed the early Christmassy posts from the last couple of weeks! I thought I’d still share some of the things I loved last month, because I have some new discoveries I totally want to talk about, even if a little bit later than usual!
The more we get close to proper Winter, the more I feel the need of wrapping myself in a cosy blanket, drink hot tea and spend time inside. Of course to do so one needs a big amount of PJs, so yes, I stocked up this past month (thank you Black Friday for tempting me a bit too much!).
I have bought this Chelsea Peers number at the beginning of November actually, when I had a major wardrobe tidying session and decided my PJs either looked a bit too childish or they were just too old and ruined to keep offering their services. I’m completely in love with the super soft fabric and the peachy pink colour. If you’re after a bit of a sober, comfortable and soft PJs option, you totally need to check this one out (but make sure you keep an eye on this blog because I’m planning a post all about loungewear and the best PJs!).
Last month Lush introduced me to their Sleepy Body Lotion during the launch of their new shop in Milan (but you know what, I actually bought a pot just like this for a birthday gift only 30 minutes before that happened and I was pondering to buy one for myself too!). You know I love myself some lavender (and how obsessed I am)! This is basically all I want in a body lotion: I am very lazy with moisturizing my body especially, so anything that can make body hydration a bit more exciting is always welcome.
This lotion is perfect before nighttime and works wonders to calm and relax you with its amazing lavender and tonka scent. It’s super hydrating as well. And I love Lush because all their scents always stay on the skin for so long! Now let’s just hope this is not a Christmas exclusive, because I’m addicted!
This past month I’ve been obsessed with my most recent healthy food discovery: coconut butter! If you’ve seen my latest brownies recipe, you’ll already know all about it, but it’s essentially the best way to replace dairy butter in your diet, wherever you’re using it, especially in baking. And it tastes even better!
And talking about food, this month, thanks for my gift guides, I have finally caved and purchased something from Biscuiteers. I was sure I was going to love one of their biscuit sets, and their Christmas nutcraker designs are just the cuter. Now I have to take courage and bite into them… at some point, instead of only keep staring at how cute they are!
I am a huge fan of calligraphy and brush lettering especially, as you might know, which I both use in my design business but also enjoy for personal pleasure every now and then (so relaxing!). So this month I decided to finally treat myself to some watercolour brush pens – because you might not know it, but I’m such a huge fan of watercolours too! I love the finish so much – definitely a cute way to experiment with different lettering techniques and make writing with watercolours way easier!

You might remember last year I wrote a feature on Brother and how to implement one of their labellers in your daily life, and today I’m pretty excited to collaborate with them again to bring you four new ways to use a labellers as a personal organizer and try and be creative with it in the meanwhile!
But, really, don’t know if it’s just me, but as soon as I started brainstorming some ideas for this post, I couldn’t really stop! There are just so many things in life that could need labels on, isn’t it?!
At your side
This year Brother is releasing a new “lifestyle” labeller, perfect for any day-to-day uses, claiming to be wanting to stand beside women in their daily tasks and routines. And I’m so happy they finally have some pastel options with their new PT-H100LB model, because they are all so extremely adorable!
These labellers are especially thought to get in your help when it comes to organize and keep order in your own home, to categorize food, fashion, beauty and lifestyle products in general and… they also have fabric tapes you could use to customize your own sewing creations or your toddler clothes!
Their tapes are made to last and are available in different colours, to have fun and be creative. This new release has a cool “Deco Mode” with pre-installed designs and cute frames to make your labelling even more fun!
As I said, I could have found an endless amount of ways to put my brand new baby blue labeller into good use (think creating little flags with toothpicks to put on top of cupcakes, or labels for your home-baked biscuit tins or to create categories for your beauty storage…) but I’ll limit myself to only show you four creative ideas to transform a Brother labeller into your own personal organizer!
So, if you’re curious, please read on…
Create Your Own Recipe Journal
I have this vivid memory of child-me and my mum in the kitchen, having fun with cake batter and a few recipes from her hand-crafted recipe journal. She always used to say she will pass it on whenever me and my sister will have our own places, to have her recipes always handy!
I’ve always wanted to start my own recipe journal too, and what better occasion to get started than a shiny new labellers to add little notes and fun details to what once was a plain notebook and now is turning into a beautiful custom recipe holder!
I’ve printed a few pictures of my recipes and glued them to their pages to remember what the results look like, and then started writing my very own recipes by hand (because that’s the only way possible!!), taking my time to compile my journal and promising to myself I’ll keep coming back to add more and more! I had so much fun adding little comments with my Brother labeller, or use it to create a fun rating system with its symbols function!
Customize Your Parties
Let’s say you’re throwing a party, whether it’s a grown-up party or something fun for your children and their little friends – you could use your labeller to add little flags with names to the paper straws, to help the guests remember where they left their glass (especially if you’re using actual dishware, you’ll love this little trick that will avoid you to wash an endless number of forgotten glasses)!
Maybe it could be a fun idea to also add a little something to someone’s breakfast in bed or romantic dinner for two! 😉
Organize Your Notes
I don’t know about you, but although my phone has the biggest amount of list-making apps installed, I always find myself grabbing the random piece of paper instead to write down my notes and impromptu ideas whether I’m at home or on-the-go. That’s probably the reason why I love notebooks so much (or not?).
I’ve been using my labeller as an actual personal organizer to create sections in my notebook: with short texts like ‘to-do’ or ‘don’t forget’ or ‘business-related’ quickly printed under my eyes, I can stick random pieces of paper where I’ve written down my notes in a hurry and organize them in my notebook of choice!
I also do love to add pictures in my planners, and of course couldn’t resist adding some more labels with cute little notes and comments!
Organize Your Tech
Sure, the previous three ideas were fun, cute and useful, but this last one is… smart!
I bet you’ve all at least once experienced the drama of looking for a cable to charge one of your (insert infinite number) of mobile devices and cursing at yourself for not being able to find that Kindle charger you are sure you remember how it looked like! Or the annoying situation when your cables all look the same but you have to spend 15 minutes to actually find the one.
The solution is so simple! Use a labeller to print your mobile devices names and stick them to their corrispondent cables, so that next time you’ll be instantly able to identify the one you’re looking for in the pile! Simple, right? Still I don’t know how I haven’t thought about it before!

Hopefully by now I’ve convinced you you’re desperately needing
a labeller as a personal organizer in your life, ah! Would love to know if you use labels to organize your home/life/business and how! x

Oh photography! We all love it, one way or another, we all take pictures daily nowadays and have our phones and computers storage full of memories. It’s so absurd to think just a few decades ago people would still rely on films and that a few decades earlier people wasn’t even able to take its…
If you’ve followed this blog for a while, you’ll know I’ve been obsessed with Skillshare for quite some time and have been suggesting it a lot lately! Whether you’re a creative and like a bit of DIY, a designer and want to learn new topics in your sector or simply someone who likes art and learning new…
OITNB ; Paper Fairy Lights – Maison Du Monde Life Like the rest of the world, this month I’ve been *obsessed* with Orange Is The New Black. For some reasons I realized I still had a few episodes from last season to catch up with, so as soon as the new season has been released earlier…
I can not express my love for Spring weekends at words! There’s nothing more lovely to finally have a sunny weekend day all for yourself after spending the whole week looking forward to it, and enjoying the hours of beautiful light outside doing things that involve nature, soil, fresh flowers, tidying, and all those things that…
I like handmade things. Handmade gifts especially. Every Christmas I feel like between the many gifts I buy for others, the ones I create with my own hands are the most special and most appreciated. I’ve been putting together a cookies mix in a jar to give as gift to my favourite people the last few…
Not sure how, but this time every year things start to become stressful and frantic, between the whole organizing Christmas day and buying the last few presents and then wrapping them up. So seeing your Christmas tree all surrounded with beautifully wrapped gifts, perhaps that’s the view I most enjoy about the Holiday season. Or…
Here in Italy bringing a real pine at home to be used as Christmas tree is not really a thing (which I’m totally OK with), yet I love how pines smell and I’d like to associate that scent with Christmas as most of the people do! We’re not starting to bring home a real tree, but…
Before being introduced to Brother I would have never thought a labeler could have ever come somewhat of useful in my daily life (yet I say I’m an organized person!) but I of course jumped at the chance to try one of them out on a daily basis and accepted the challenge to use a…
If in other seasons I’m slightly OK with my flat hair (as much as one can’t be bothered by boring hair), comes summertime and all I’m after is voluminous, undone, wavy and texturized locks. I’ve tried countless beauty products to achieve it, but nothing really works magic on my hair, but there must be a reason why everyone…
Two DIY posts in less than a week? Yes I know, it feels kind of strange to see that many crafts on here, but I’ve been itching to try my hands at something different than typing blog posts and twitter status all day, and I’d love to introduce more DIY tutorials on the blog again…
When I started my first blog years ago, I wanted it to be all about easy craft and DIY little projects as I was going through a period of my life where I was giving vent to my creativity by creating the easiest yet cutest DIY jewelry, homeware and all kinds of crafts really! Many…
I’ve always been a fan of Lush Christmas ranges and that’s actually the main occasion I think a Lush haul is totally necessary. Besides from their hair products that are staples in my haircare routine, I’ve never really been attracted by their other collections, maybe just because I’m not a huge bath lover and surely…
Latte art has always been fascinating to me, but don’t ask me when I started actually trying to achieve it. It’s really not meant to be – everything I needed started falling apart, beginning with the milk-frother and then the whole coffee machine. Nice! Not to mention I really should invest in more adequate utensils…
Have I an insane obsession for notebooks, stationery and little books? Yes, I know. But as soon as I saw the One Line a Day: A Five-Year Memory Book (£10.99) on Amazon, I just knew I had to get it. Lucky enough my boyfriend was super kind and sweet to order me one copy which made a…
It all started with me gitfing some polaroid instagram pictures to my boyfriend for his birthday and then again for Christmas last year, and since then I was thinking of creating a sort of photo diary of our relationship. I know nowadays you can pay someone to print your photo diary for you, but we…
